Farmers & Merchants Bank & Trust is currently hosting its school supply drive, Project: Crayon, for all Burlington and West Burlington Elementary Schools.

Project: Crayon has been created to help assist filling area elementary classrooms with supplies for students.

This is it’s 15th year. Project: Crayon will run through the month of August.

“We at F&M Bank & Trust recognize the need to help our school teachers and ease the burden of having to supply their classrooms with the materials needed to educate our youth. We believe in our area youth and are very proud to be able to help in this capacity,” said Charles E. Walsh, president.

“We have been working in the Burlington and West Burlington elementary schools for over 27 years through our F&M Kids Bank Program teaching financial literacy and responsibility. As we speak with teachers, we really understand how difficult it is to keep up with classroom supply demands because of funding. Due to their concerns and comments we created Project: Crayon,” he continued.

Crayons, Kleenex, stickers, back packs, post it notes, Band-Aids, legal pads, blank CDs, highlighters, construction paper, scissors, Prang water colors, loose leaf notebook paper, notebooks, etc., are all needed as well as so much more.

If you would like to donate school supplies, drop off sites will be available at any of the F&M Bank & Trust locations.

Monetary donations made payable to Project: Crayon will also be accepted.
